Born December 30th, 1905, he is approximately 6 foot five inches (195 centimeters) tall, with long golden blond hair, piercing blueish green eyes, and a natural golden tan. He has unusually large rectangular eyebrows. He has a small smattering of arm and chest hair, thick pubic hair with a trail running up his abdomen past his naval, and hairy legs. Remiel usually wears a green hoodie with reflective gold accents, an old, oversized, sun-bleached yellow t-shirt, and a pair of baggy acid washed jeans with holes in them, as well as a choker collar and similarly styled bracelets and belt. He has a slim but strong build, with lots of long lean muscle. He is a skilled swordsman and passable street fighter.
Remiel Braginsky was born in a town in western Russia shortly before the great war, and raised in a local abbey as an orphan. He personally considers himself a member of the Russian Orthodox Church, but believes that acceptance of the lord is far more important than strict adherence to a large set of ‘boring’ rules. Considering the era into which he was born, Remiel is very open-minded and relaxed in his beliefs, believing some of the church's teachings to be out of date or out of touch with reality. He is a creature of extremes, at once both a merciless and sadistic warrior and a tender hearted romantic and poet. He has a long list of bizarre kinks and fetishes, including being choked, not the least bizarre of which is his reaction to physical trauma that would easily cripple a normal person, euphoric and orgasmic. Remiel was also abused by Seele, and was sold to Nebula along with Matthew, he also received the injection of Angel cells, becoming a psychic immortal. He is now cared for by Matthew.
Remiel is easily annoyed and is impulsive and temperamental to a fault, he has some difficulty understanding human behavior, which is a cause of great anxiety for him. He has a tendency to come off as rather aggressive or downright hostile in social situations. His flirting style is especially aggressive, often scarring away potential suitors, he has likewise has had no real romantic relationships, in fact, few relationships of any kind. Those relationships he is able to maintain are often dysfunctional. He has turned to anonymous sex to fill the void of his loneliness and isolation, and is considered to be a whore even by the Matthew’s standards. He occasionally suffers long bouts of sadness and depression during which he returns to his childhood home in the abbey.
He views the beings of light, of Seele myth, as gods incarnate and though their negligence resulted in much suffering to his person, he believes they are fundamentally good and didn’t mean to cause the human race undue harm. He can be very forgiving even though he may have been previously incomprehensibly angry, flipping between the two rather easily. He is a man of contradiction, and this does not bother him. He turly, honestly, loves Bear, and this caused him to stalk him, he never intended any harm but simply wished to be closer to him, and never managed to work up the courage to approach Bear, he has since become a good friend, with Bear adoring the plushies and trinkets Remiel makes. Remiel makes plushies and toys for children during the holidays and is seen as a real life Santa Figure in his russian community.
